The Challenge To design a single storey dwelling with garage.
The Solution The house has been designed as a ‘doubled’ single storey. The orientation of the house was carefully thought out with all the living spaces positioned to maximise passive solar heat gain throughout the day while taking advantage of the great views to the south and west. The garage creates a court yard entrance while providing good shelter from the strong south westerly winds from the valley.
