The Challenge A new four classroom Primary School with ancillary accommodation.
The Solution We divided the design into two blocks with a centralised corridor linking both sides. A “break out space” located in the centre of the school helps it be flexible during break times and school assembles. The classrooms and the general purpose room occupy the main larger block located East & South East of the building to maximise solar gain. The smaller block to the North West houses the administrative and utility rooms. The mono-pitch metal profile roof of the school reflects the rural nature of the schools location.
